Book Review: Harmonic Wealth

Posted on Dec 2nd, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

harmonic-wealth.jpgWho's up for sharing thoughts on a couple of well known Law of Attraction books?  I thought it would be fun to share insights and critiques for those who are wondering what to read and what to skip.

I myself just finished Harmonic Wealth, and was really surprised by my reaction, for a variety of reasons.

Back in early 2007 when I saw the author, James Ray, interviewed on Larry King alongside other contributors to The Secret, I was disappointed in his answer to Larry's toughest question.  (Joe Vitale was the only guest that didn't back down and gave a straight up hard core answer.)

Then I saw Ray in person at one his free live events, which is when I knew for sure he definitely wasn't for me.  (Slick closing techniques; lots of flash, little substance.)

But then I finally sat down to read Harmonic Wealth.  One of the measures of how much I enjoy a book is whether I recommend it, but also whether I lend it out.  This book I'm recommending, and not lending out - since I continue to refer back to it!  It's a high compliment in my book. ;)

The first page I dog-eared was 53, where Ray describes intentions as "offer waves" and explains the quantum physics aspect of Law of Attraction in a way I could actually repeat!

On page 59 Ray talks about how 70% of lottery winners are broke within a few years and how 82% of NFL athletes squander savings and file for bankruptcy within two years of their last game.  He says it's because "Things that are self-created are more readily self-sustained and rapidly (if necessay) re-created.  But if you don't know how to generate it in the first place, you won't know how to keep it, even when it falls in your lap.  If you can't create it, you can't keep it."

This guy makes good sense to me.

Here are a couple other quotes that made me nod in agreement:

  • "Mastery is not persistence when you see a light at the end of the tunnel.  True mastery is persistence when you don't yet see the light."
  • "My goal is to help you shatter tenacious ideas that have festered into facts in your mind."
  • "When the intention is clear, the method will appear."

Ray quotes Morris Massey's research in that very few people make significant life changes after the age of 13, unless the person experiences a "significant emotional event."   (That's when many of my clients finally reach out for support, when they've experienced or are in the midst of one of those "significant emotional events.")

His Critical Six method is one I now share with clients.  The self love test is simple, yet accurate.  He explains the difference between being self centered vs. selfish.  ("Self centered is taking care of yourself first and foremost, doing what's best for you and living the life you choose.  This is healthy.  Being selfish is you trying to get ME to live the life you choose.  This is not healthy.")

Ray talks about how people "scare away money" by shopping with a tight, vise-grip look on their faces.  And how it takes mastery to be grateful in advance.  Isn't that the truth?!

He recommends focusing on the feelings you want to live in.  I tweeted this from Ray: "Cultivate them, even if they're foreign.  As you wear them and walk around in them, they'll become second nature."

Ray convinced me once and for all to launch ongoing group work (to be announced this month and starting in January) with these words: "Whether it's with two people or ten, the power of partnerships creates energy and innovation that cannot be accomplished on our own.  The Bible tells us that where two or three are gathered in agreement, nothing is impossible."

And that's only halfway through the book!  My favorite part was the last section where he says:

  • the Universe is a big yes machine
  • that we must think, feel and boldly act FROM, not toward, the outcome we choose to create in life (hmm, where does that sound familiar?)
  • and his friend Nicole's experience on the trapeze ("I'm a catcher, and I'll catch you.  Your job is only to swing and let go.")

Having said all that, I will say I didn't agree with his heavy emphasis on action or on the food and exercise rules he shares.  But I'm certainly not holding that against him.

All in all, I gotta say I'm now a huge James Ray fan.  For those of you who already knew this and kept insisting I read his book, thank you.

(Along with your thoughts and comments, please post suggestions for our next book review!)

Master Manifesting in a Pickle

Posted on Dec 3rd, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

pickle.jpgCan you interview for a job while feeling well-employed?  Can you drive around lost and yet feel the satisfaction of "destination found"?  Can you hold for tech support while feeling the relief of "problem solved"?

If so, you have the makings of a Master Manifestor.

And if you think you can't, I'm not buying it.  You can too!

'Cause if I can do it, anyone can!

The beautiful thing is that when you practice changing how you feel before there's a "real reason" for it, things magically happen that make you feel like life is on your side again.  Things go your way; happy endings come sooner rather than later.

I'm not saying it's easy (although it's not nearly as difficult as some think) - but it is well worth the effort!

Give it a shot next time you're in a pickle.

Maybe you'll be quicker on the take than I was this morning.

My email had stopped sending.  Receiving was happening just fine, but sending was a no-go.  It asked for credentials I didn't have.  I tried working around it, but .. nada.

As a temporary fix I resorted to my old yahoo email address, which just led to more frustration.  Thought about giving it a rest while I took a shower and switched up my vibe.  But I really wanted this resolved before doing anything else.

Finally, after an hour of fiddling with Windows Help, uninstalling antivirus software, and reading through my tech guy's FAQ notes, I realized no action COULD help as long as I was frustrated.  (Hey, better late than never!)

I needed to feel relief now if I wanted a solution now, and to do it while this problem was still staring me in the face.

So while looking at my broken email, I smiled and said to myself "Relief!  So glad that's taken care of!  Yay!  I can get on with my day!  That wasn't so hard!"

And with that, an easiness returned that wasn't there prior.  I felt satisfaction for being able to fix this myself, and so quickly, too!

Much better ... that's a vibe that lets solutions in!

phone-rep.jpgI took a drink of water and cleared my mind for a brief second before an idea popped in to call my web mail folks (godaddy).  As I was listening to the menu options (normally quite frustrating), I held on to my feeling-so-satisfied vibe.  All is well here.  Strong doubts flickered in about whether godaddy could fix my problem, as it didn't make sense that the issue was related to their service.  But I didn't let that doubt crowd out my feel good.

Estimated hold time four minutes.  My usual sigh of frustration was replaced with "Mm, plenty of time to nail the feel good."  This is conscious creation!

Tyler answered after maybe a minute and a half.  Friendly sounding, alert guy.  I thought how lucky he was to get a friendly caller instead of a frustrated caller.  I thought what a great time we'll have, even if he can't help me.

I let him off the hook right off the bat and halfway apologized for asking him a question he likely couldn't solve.  (Sounds like wimpy manifesting, but I'm calling it "remaining unattached to outcome.")  Described my problem succinctly and within 45 seconds Tyler had me all fixed up.  And he was kind of guessing!

I confessed my true love for him (he said it was mutual).  I told Tyler THIS is why I don't buy domain names anywhere else, and that I owned over 90, so that was saying something.  Ty suggested I check out their discount domain club, which will likely save me over $250 every year.

Problem solved AND saved money at the same time!  Can anyone say "woo hoo"?!

This might seem like a low stakes example (and I would agree), but this is where our practice ground is.

Every day we have the opportunity to shift how we're feeling, to better line up with what we want than with what is.  When we practice on this "small" stuff, it's that much easier on the "big" stuff.

Who's game to play?!

Kim gave a fabulous real life example in the comments of another post, and I'd like to hear more!  Or if you have questions, let us field them - we've got a humongous circle of master manifesters here!

Dog Whisperer Wisdom for Manifesters

Posted on Dec 7th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

cesar.jpgAnyone seen Dog Whisperer in action?  We manifesters have lots in common with him, if you haven't noticed.  Many of us could pick up good tips from his work!

The other night I watched an episode where a fireman had given up his aggressive Rottweiler, Churchill, because the dog was "beyond help."  The Rottie's issue was dog aggression, and the owner said he'd been to enough trainers & schools and had read up enough to know his dog wasn't going to change.

Not even for the Dog Whisperer.

Cesar was polite in explaining the problem isn't in Churchill, but rather in the energy the owners flow.  ?!  Many folks might think that's crazy, but you deliberate creators understand what's in play, right?

To prove his point Cesar worked with the "beyond help" Rottie himself.  Within minutes, Churchill seemingly underwent a complete transformation as he sat quietly while other dogs came and went.  The fireman and his wife thought it was miraculous.

But it's not miraculous.

It's just energy management.

Cesar flows calm assertive energy and holds different expectations of the dog (than the owners do).  The wife admitted when she's constantly on the lookout for potential trouble, and imagining - or recalling - dangerous scenes unfolding.

Cesar tells her those thoughts and expectations are energy projected on her dog, which elicits that behavior from Churchill.

He teaches the couple how to shift their energy and project new vibrations to Churchill.  By the end of the session they, too, can walk their previously "dog aggressive" Rottie side by side with other neighborhood dogs.

Which is what we're doing, too!  Without the dog, I mean, but we're up to the same "miracle making" work: shifting our energy in order to manifest new results.

Cesar said something once that still helps my vibrational alignment: "Pack leaders don't struggle."

Pack leaders don't get mad or angry or too tired.  (Because that state is out of balance, and another dog will step into the pack leader role if/when I get misaligned.)

My desire to be pack leader along with this wisdom from Cesar helps me stay connected to a good vibe.  Because pack leaders don't struggle, I remember.  They don't run out of time, they don't worry about what might go wrong, they don't stress out.

They are calm, strong and well balanced.  "There's plenty of time," "all is well," and "I can handle this."

With that shifted energy, I'm better lined up with what I've been wanting (aka my vibrational escrow).

So I don't know if Cesar realizes it, but he's teaching energy management skills that can help people become successful manifesters, not just better dog owners.

Some clients tell me their cats are easy mirrors to identify their mood/energy, since the client might not realize they're tense or excited until their cat reflects it to them.  There are also coaches who help transform people's lives by getting them in the arena to interact with horses.

What do you think?  Has your involvement with animals helped you become more sensitive to the energy you flow?  Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Vibrating Money In

Posted on Dec 13th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

money2.jpgSomeone publicly tweeted this message today:

"I need money, can I borrow some? anyone? Hello?"

which made me smile and want to help ...

... then I got a call from an aunt asking if I would/could help my neice turn her financial situation around.

So I figured a post was in order about how to vibrate money in.

Although I suspect neither my neice nor fellow tweeter is law of attraction savvy, now's as good a time as any to embrace the EASY way to create change.  For those of you who already know this, please add your voice to the topic and share the wealth of your experience!  (People tell me all the time the best thing about this blog is the Comments - they are widely read and much appreciated!)

For those of you who have no idea what it means to vibrate money in, here we go:

Everything in the Universe is made of energy.  When we look closely at all the itty bitty little parts of EVERYTHING, we see the same thing: vibrating waves of energy.

And here's the cool thing scientists have been tripping out over: our conscious awareness alters energy.

Meaning, we rearrange atoms with our thoughts.  Literally.

So when you change your mind, you change the state of matter

(Quoting directly from the smart guy on tv show "Numbers."  tee hee  See what common knowledge this is now?!)

And that's all money is - energetic matter.  (And you're in charge of matter!  With your conscious awareness!!  How cool is that?!)

Which means money isn't a tricky thing that's hard to figure out or difficult to come by or easily lost - unless you choose so through your awareness (i.e. thoughts).

Money can be as easy as breathing and as abundant as oxygen when you shift your thoughts/awareness/consciousness/vibration about it.

If I'm thinking or feeling that money is scarce, then my vibration requires I experience money as scarce.  If I think money is fun and magic and everywhere with my name on it, then my vibration calls forth that experience.

It's the way the system's set up.  Good to know the ground rules, huh?

So all I have to do is shift the way I've been vibrating (thinking/feeling) about money in order to change my experience of it.

And for those of you who want to tack on something like, "Well, yes, that AND you have to take massive action.  You can't just sit there and expect your financial situation to change." ... if that's the way you want to play it, I'm not going to stop you.

We each create our own experience according to our beliefs.  And I'm not here to talk you out of yours.

But I promise you, massive action is not part of my game plan.  Taking inspired action is, doing what feels good is, but I know that action isn't the trick here.  Shifting the vibration is.

So, my Twitter friend calling out for money, tune in to how you're feeling about money right now, and evaluate what that's attracting.

Example, if you've been feeling "not enough" about money, or "I need some NOW" or "it's hard for me" - or whatever you're feeling(desperation, anxiety, frustration - whatever), know that that feeling is your money instruction.  Those thoughts and feelings are what arranges whether money shows up in your world or not.

So if you want more money, you've simply got to start feeling money differently now.  (That'll lead to new inspirations which may call for some action on your part, maybe not.)

Whatever you'd feel THEN, when you have all the money you dream of, start feeling that way NOW and thinking those thoughts NOW, and WATCH money make its way to you.  (Yes, even while you sit on your couch, and yes, even before there's a "reason" to feel/think that way.  This is why it's called deliberate creation.  We don't wait for the results to dictate how we feel, because we know our feelings are what dictate the results.)

If you have a strong belief that massive action is required in order to make money, please know that particular belief flows contrary energy to "easy money."  (Unless massive action is "easy" to you.)  So don't get frustrated or say it doesn't work if you're vibrating opposing frequencies.  When you send mixed signals you get mixed results.

Although for many, mixed signals about money would even be an improvement!

What are some easy ways to shift the money vibe?  Let's compile them here!  What a great resource for someone who's feeling stuck and wants a friendly reminder of where their power lies!

Here are a few easy and immediate money vibe shifters:

  • Complete the question: "Wouldn't it be nice if ... ?"
  • Enjoying recalling a time when you did have a better situation with money
  • Pleasantly imagine your future with lots of money it
  • Flow appreciation for the money that IS in your life now
  • Change your languaging - use phrases that line up with having plenty of money ("Good thing I'm rich" is my fav from Mike Dooley)
  • Start behaving like someone who IS experiencing financial relief/abundance, rather than acting like someone in $$ dire straits

If you find it difficult to take yourself to these scenes or come up with words that represent the financial abundance you want, that shows this work will bring BIG payoff since your vibe is that off-kilter from what you want.  Just a little bit of work on this WILL bring results, and when you get those results, CELEBRATE them!  That opens you up to more and bigger results tomorrow.

Let me just add that this isn't the ONLY way to bring money in, but it is effective, reliable, fast, and it's actually pretty easy once you stop letting "reality" dictate how you feel.

I know we've got lots of powerful money manifesters in this audience with insights and tips to add ... let's hear 'em!

On My Board

Posted on Dec 15th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

mountain_goat.jpgThe bulletin board in my office is crowded with inspiring images, objects, goals and mantras.  Because I'm regularly asked what thoughts I'm working with, I thought I'd officially share them here.

So these are the thoughts I'm reinforcing as my reality, amidst the dog & otter & mountain goat photos, currency bills from across the globe, and beautiful landscape pictures.

Each thought is handwritten on a pretty colored sticky note (orange, pink, purple, green and yellow) with colored pen (in no order of importance):

  • My coaching and products are in HIGH DEMAND
  • I lose weight while I sleep
  • I am the example of extraordinary well-being
  • The mind is a two-bit whore, it'll go anywhere  (compliments of Martha Beck)
  • The system is set up for my success
  • It gets easier and easier!!
  • The Universe is Good To Me!
  • I am a highly paid and highly respected internet marketer
  • The more I goof off, the better things get!
  • I live a charmed life!
  • They keep finding me!  Yay!!
  • You can prove anything!
  • I'm the best there is. (compliments of my dear Marine Corps Dad)
  • I love you.  Please forgive me.  Thank you. (compliments of Dr. Len)
  • The Universe ALWAYS has my best interests at heart and delivers me perfection every single time. Always. Perfection. (compliments of me)
  • I attract Big Fat Cash with ease and joy!
  • What would feel fabulous right now?
  • We've got it made!

You gotta admit, that's a fun list to read, isn't it?

Or maybe it's just that for me.  Which is what matters!  Sitting in the vicinity of these inspiring thoughts-becoming-realities is good for my vibe, which is good for my reality.

I'd love to hear what mantras and affirmations YOU'RE working with, whether written down or just something you repeat to yourself in certain moments throughout the day.

Post them here to not only inspire the rest of us, but also to amp up their power for you.  (Since getting the rest of us in on it increases the energy of it!)

What You Say & See Is What You Get

Posted on Dec 18th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

This post comes from an email I received today from Mike Brescia.  I don't know Mike's work, I don't know his products, but I really liked this message.

Especially the Super Bowl example. ( The idea of claiming your score while you're still playing - let alone losing - the game really appeals to me.)

Mike's message about changing your inner voice is an important one in LOA work.  Here's an excerpt from his note (highlights are mine):

When you believe in your heart that you can't do something you have to do or would like to do, you're sunk.

And if we don't believe we can do something, or aren't sure that we can, yet are still being forced to do it anyway, we feel fear, anxiety and, if it goes on long enough, panic... and regular panic attacks can be the result.

The good news is, there is a way out of this cycle...

It's called changing your inner voice...Changing the inner discussion that is going on inside your head every waking hour of every day.

What you say to yourself silently governs everything you do and how well you do it.  You see, you can know what to do, but if something in your mind is working against you, you can't pull out the ability to do your best.

Momentum.  Programmed mental pictures.  Associations.  Triggers.  Tendancies.  It's easy to see these things in athletic competitions.  Success in sports, where the opponents are pretty evenly matched, is almost completely built on the inner voice and inner mental pictures (which affect each other like chemicals that are inert alone but explode when mixed together).

Ever see players on a sideline getting each other fired up, telling each other to focus, to just take it one play at a time, to believe, to reach down deep, to ignore the pain, to see themselves making plays, to see themselves winning.

In last year's Super Bowl, for example, before the final drive, Michael Strahan paced the sidelines shouting out to his teammates, "17-14!  That's the final score!  17-14!  See it!  17-14!"  As the offensive players were running on and off the field, he's yelling to them, "17-14!  Believe it!"

The final score was 17-14, Giants.  Some of the most remarkable feats ever seen on a football field were created in those 2 minutes 7 seconds.  Because they believed it could happen.

In every moment of our lives we can do things like that... get yourself to do what you must, do it well and do it without doubt or fear...

Do it with pleasure.

By just changing your inner mental chatter and the mental pictures you see automatically all day long.

Mike Brescia

Sing You To Me

Posted on Dec 20th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

The recently released movie Australia included several scenes about the indigenous people's tradition of "singing," which is more than just song as we think of it.  Australian Aborigines believe the world was created through "singing" it into existence.

Since I'm fascinated with all things deliberate creation-related, I couldn't help but look into it.

I mean, pray rain journaling is my favorite manifesting technique, but I'd love to add singing to my repertoire!

Fred Alan Wolf (the captivating guy from What The Bleep) says in The Dreaming Universe that Australian Aborigines see "reality" in two aspects:

  • a primary universe far more extensive than our physical world,
  • and the physical world we know it as.

Aborigines call this primary world "dreamtime" and believe it contains all of the past, present, and future.

From this realm, the world of energy continually rises as a dream.  Fred says that based on the work of many others, including his own research, that this "everywhen" realm may be more real than  the reality we perceive.

I don't know about you, but this talk strongly supports my ability to release attachment to "reality," when the reality I know isn't necessarily what I want more of.

You know how our manifesting efforts are often handicapped due to our inability to stop noticing "what is" and to be able to release attachment to reality?  Well it sounds to me like indigenous Australians are way ahead of us on this!  I'm going to borrow from their tradition and view it as one more good reason to consider this "real world" we walk in much less real than we have believed.

I have no idea who or what I'm quoting here, but this distinction was interesting, too:

To get to grips with the concept of Dreamtime, you had to understand it as an Aboriginal equivalent of the first two chapters of Genesis-with one significant difference.

In Genesis, God first created the 'living things' and then fashioned Father Adam from clay. Here in Australia, the Ancestors created themselves from clay.

I like that distinction because it puts the power in our hands, very much in alignment with deliberate creation work.

In Bruce Chatwin’s book, The Songlines, he explores the Australian aboriginal custom of "singing the world out of dreamtime."  Does that sound to you kind of like calling forth what you want to create from the Zero Point Field (aka the Universe, as it's also known in some circles)?  Hmm.

Are you scratching your head in confusion yet?  I admit I am.  And I think that's a good thing.

Because when we solidly "know" what's possible, what's not, what's real, and what isn't, that knowing sometimes shuts down our creative opportunities, doesn't it?  It feels good to mix it all up and forget what's possible and what's not.  To be fully open once again.

To be able to call forth our deepest desires by simply singing them to us out of dreamtime.

Gotta admit, I like the sounds of that.

If anyone here knows anything about dreamtime and how to sing something to them, I would love to learn more!  As always, your thoughts, comments and questions are much appreciated.

Your Day In Day Out Manifestation Stories

Posted on Dec 24th, 2008 by Jeannette : Master Coach, Deliberate Creator Jeannette

Supposed to be writing today's ezine, but instead I'm posting manifesting stories on my twitwall

Thought it'd be fun for all of us to share some of our day in, day out manifesting stories.

I'll start by copying my not-so-happy ending stories recently revealed on twitter.  This one's about my sweet girl Cher who has a habit of peeing on things I wish she wouldn't:

Cher is my 5 year old gorgeous female black cat that pees on any dog beds, people beds, furniture or blankets that are not hers.

My personal assistant inadvertently let her out of her approved area today, which I didn't realize until she'd already had free run of the house for over an hour.

As I corralled her in the upstairs office and started checking her favorite spots to pee, I remembered to change the vibe up before I did.  Instead of looking for problems with the $#@%* vibe, I switched it to "she is a LUCKY girl!" because that's what I'd be thinking & feeling if I found no problems.

Front room couches: all clear.  Formal couch: no problems there either.  Checked a couple big chairs with blankets: so far so good!

As I walked upstairs, feeling a little incredulous, I hung on to the "lucky cat" and added "lucky PA" vibe to it, too.

Master bed: a-ok.  !!  This is starting to feel like a MIRACLE!!  I check the upstairs office: no problems there.  Guest bedroom next:  NOTHING.  Absolutely nothing!

How can this be?!  I double check.  Really, nothing?!  This is hard to believe.  (I actually thought those words.)

I run through my mind, have I missed a room?  Has she truly had an hour to herself where she didn't create trouble for some blanket or furniture cushion?!

I check the bed AGAIN.  This is the triple check.  Huh.  NOTHING.  "That's crazy," I think!  I've got this cat locked up for no good reason?  She doesn't pee any more?!

As I pull the cover back over the bed, I wonder, why does this spot here feel cold?  Sure enough.  She hit the corner of the comforter.

No miracle here today.

I start the laundy and realize I averted a near miracle by flowing my "I can't believe it" vibration.  Next time, maybe I'll leave that one behind.  And maybe my next post will be about a more positive manifestation.  ha!

Here's the snowstorm manifesting story from the weekend:

Yesterday as we left in what my boyfriend was sure wasn't enough time (because I wanted to wrap up a project before we left), I intended we'd arrive safely in plenty of time.  (Had tickets for Bret Michaels, former Poison lead singer  90 minutes away in Wendover, Nevada.)  Russ wanted to leave at 2, but we didn't get out the door till 3.

Challenge was there was a wicked snow storm that brought traffic to a crawl, and it was rush hour traffic to boot.

Russ suggested a couple of times we give up and turn around ...

But HELLO, it's BRET MICHAELS.  I'm not giving up!

So I set this beautiful intention that we arrive safely in plenty of time.  ("Bret doesn't start without us!")  Didn't seem possible, given that we were CRAWLING on side streets (gave up on the dead stop freeway) and still had 100 miles to go.

I said, well, even if we are late, Bret's probably gonna be late too, since he surely was flying in in this storm and that might slow him up.  Russ argued with me that Bret's days of flying in on planes are long gone; that, sorry to burst your bubble honey, but he's probably stuck on a tour bus.

I closed my eyes for a little road trip nap with my intentions in mind.

And woke up just a few minutes away from the venue.  WIth two hours to spare.  HA!!

So proud of myself for such fine manifesting (with no help from my sweetie), I suggested we have dinner before the concert since we had plenty of time for it.

Which we did.  After dinner we still had 30 minutes prior to concert start.

And THEN, at the venue, we waited almost two hours for Bret to take the stage, because apparently his plane was delayed and then his 1.5 hour ride from the airport was delayed, too, because of slick roads.

So indeed we arrived safely, got there in plenty of time, Bret did not start without us, and he was late, too.

I think next time I could clean that up a little.  lol

Live and learn, huh?  As one of my favorite twitter friends says: "My pain, your gain."  (Although I don't really think it's painful as much as it is funny.)

Your turn - let's hear your real life manifesting stories next ...
